My paintings are depictions of my surroundings, viewing my surroundings, my memories of the Landscape, The way my mind picks up things without me noticing, The way i view the colour, textures, smells and feelings of everyday life.

I take photos everyday of our ever changing Landscape and try to recapture this universal place where i feel i am when out in the fields or in the middle of a forest. My paintings are a place where i have never been physically, but mentally I live there.

Combining elements from memory, and not “remembering” or “depicting”, but fabricating a fantasy.

The Landscape becomes a photo album of made up images but draws out memories of personal presence from or for the viewer.

Juxtaposing old and new, real with made-up, briefly kidnapping other peoples memories and making them your own.

I like to see it as recreating time spent.
